Dream #1: Struck by Lightning

Share: Last summer I was struck by lightning. About a week before, I had a dream that left a lasting impression on me, but I've never been able to figure it out. Something tells me, however, that there might be a connection between this dream and my incident.

Dream: I arrive at my grandparents' house where I grew up (which burned down about 6 years ago). I am driving a vehicle and I am alone. It's dark, I can't see anything, but I know where I am. I parked behind the house (unusual because we always parked in front). I got out of the car and entered the house where there was never actually a door. I don't know what I went inside and came out.

When I get out, it is very dark and I tell myself that I have to be careful because I have the feeling that there is maybe someone in my car who wants to attack me. I go there, I get into the car in the driver's seat. It is still dark. I turn around and in the back seat, in the middle, there is a man. I don't see him but I know he is a man. The only thing I see is white on his chest, kind of like a light. He is ready to attack me and I am afraid but I tell him: "Wait, not now, you have to wait" (or you have to wait, I am not sure anymore).

Immediately after that, there is a change of scene. I find myself in broad daylight, walking through the forest on a dirt road. I feel a presence with me but see no one. I don't know if it's the same person from the first scene, but I don't feel anything bad about this presence, just like someone accompanying me. The green of the trees occupies a big place in the landscape and it is very beautiful. I am walking and suddenly there is a clearing on my right. At the bottom of this clearing, there is a man dressed all in white with a white baby stroller covered with a white blanket (I can't see if there is a baby or not). This person is facing me and to his right there is a white car. A very long and old model, but the car is like new.

When I saw this person in white, I felt fear like when I got into the car in the first scene, because it was probably the same person who was there to attack me. I continued my walk a little further into this green forest and suddenly I saw the white car in front of me backing up rather hurriedly. There was a small clearing to my left and I saw this man in white, pushing this baby stroller covered with a white blanket, running in the opposite direction of my path, but on the side of the forest, not on the path. In front of me there was a beer crate on the path and in my dream I realized that I had just caught them doing something. I had the impression that it was some kind of exchange and that I should not have been there at that moment, that I had interrupted something and they must have run away. The case of beer in front of me told me that I had just interrupted something bad.

Share: My dream ends like this. I've been asking myself a lot of questions since that lightning struck me and there's that dream that keeps coming back to me.

Dream #2: Unable to express myself

Share: Here is some background information: I am currently taking care of my grandmother who is at the end of her life. We don't live in the same city, but I visit her often and I am her proxy. She had 4 daughters, including my mother, and only one daughter is still living. When my mother died, almost 30 years ago, she took me in and raised me. So I consider her my mother. She became ill 8 years ago.

Dream: So here is the dream in question. (My aunt and her husband are also taking care of my grandmother in a very real way) I am in the long-term care facility where my grandmother lives. She is at the end of her life and we are in a kind of state of alert because we do not know how long this end will last. She and I are together in her room and suddenly my aunt and her husband arrive. Her husband is wearing gray pants and a bright red sweater.

He starts to tell me that we'll have to review grandma's expenses since she's finishing (he really borrows that word). My heart tightens and I try to keep calm, which I manage quite well. As he seems to be waiting for a reaction and an answer from me, I ask him if he has finished telling me what he has to say.

He says yes and as I try to answer him, I feel as if I am paralyzed from the mouth down. The words come out with difficulty and my voice is not the same. I'm raging at the same time because I believe that the time has come to settle these matters once and for all, but I'm unable to say anything! He and my aunt look at me and seem satisfied that I can't say anything, so I must agree with them. Grandma looks at me and she signals that no, she doesn't agree and I try again to say what I think but to no avail. I start crying from helplessness and frustration.

I wake up on this, with this dissatisfaction of not having been able to say anything, to do anything when I have to protect my grandmother and make sure that her last wishes will be respected, even before she dies.
